The Internet is a Fickle Friend

6.7.18 The city of Salzburg wasn’t what I had expected at all. You might have imagined a city that was still based on ground salt, yet they really diversified. In fact, I wouldn’t have even realized it if I did t know the name of the city. There are many things to see with too little time My group (Jacob, Jack, Jay, & Lance) was able to see the oldest graveyard in Germany. All of the gravestones were very religious, something which really reflected the views and values of the people back then. The size of the graveyard also marked the large growth of the city. There were only about 100-500 gravestones Iwould guess. Where as now the city is home to thousands of people.  -Harrison Today our group participated in a professionally guided tour through the Dachau Concentration Camp near Munich. Thursday - June 7th

In the two days that we have been on tour in Austria the food has been very interesting. I think that the breakfast we had in the hotel is one of the best I have ever had. When we had ice cream it seemed much different. The ice cream seemed much lighter and tasted like it had less sugar. The flight was long and I am feeling a little sleep deprived. Airport security was strict but everybody made it through fine.  - Addy The architecture across Europe and especially in Vienna is amazing. Getting to see the cathedrals was incredible and so was the opportunity to climb 434 steps up one of the towers. The history and past of Vienna (and all of Austria) is exciting and can been seen and explored easily. I hope to come back one day to learn about the culture.  - Kat Today we are t...

The Marathon Begins

The travel from day one was intense. While I slept for most of the flight Jay informed me that there was enough time to watch five full length movies. After a full nights rest our adventure really begins. We will spend our day exploring Vienna. I have been passing around the GoPro throughout our trip and I will be curious to see what the kids thought was worth recording. We will update the blog as frequently as possible but if the next few days go as planned we will be extremely busy.  Cheers! Mr. McAteer

Wann fährt das Flugzeug ab?

It is hard to believe in just two weeks we will be leaving on the adventure of a lifetime. To ensure we don't miss a moment this site will act as a virtual scrap book. Along the way we will be updating the blog with stories, pictures, and videos.
